Ingredients (INCI), allergens, origin and cruelty-free status under the EU Cosmetics Regulation. An ESPR act for cosmetics is possible but not yet scheduled.
FoodWine e-labels since 2023, EUDR supply-chain evidence, nutritional values and allergens - sector-specific obligations rather than an ESPR DPP.
PharmaceuticalsSerialisation under the EU Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) since 2019. Guidance on submitting electronic product information (ePI) from 2026, mandatory with the pharmaceutical reform expected in 2028.

EU Batteries Regulation 2023/1542. Individual passports for EV, LMT and industrial batteries with capacity, lifespan and recycling data.

EU Construction Products Regulation. Declaration of performance and conformity, CE marking, the environmental characteristics of Annex II and deconstruction information.
MetalsIron, steel and aluminium: carbon footprint, recycled content, proof of origin and conflict-mineral declarations.
- From 2029Textiles & fashion
ESPR delegated act for textiles. Material composition, proof of origin, care instructions and recycling information in the DPP.
FurnitureMaterial origin, durability tests, repair options and recyclability in line with the ESPR for furniture and furnishings.
Car parts & tyresTyre passport under EU regulation. Rolling resistance, wet grip, rolling noise and recyclability. Spare parts with proof of origin.
ChemicalsDetergents and end-user surfactants need a passport from 23 September 2029. For chemicals generally there is no act yet; REACH and CLP already supply the safety data sheet, the hazardous-substance information and the disposal instructions.
FMCGThe Packaging Regulation has applied since 12 August 2026, labelling follows in 2028, recyclability and recycled content in 2030. Detergents get a real passport on 23 September 2029; for the rest of a consumer-goods range no date is fixed.

Repairability score, spare-parts availability, software updates and recycled content under the horizontal ecodesign acts. No passport date is fixed yet.

New EU Toy Safety Regulation. Material composition, age rating, safety certificates and traceability.
- Not yet datedLuxury goods
No act of its own and no place in the first ecodesign working plan; apparel is reached by the textiles act expected in 2027. Certificates of authenticity, proof of origin, craftsmanship documentation and counterfeit protection are what a passport earns here today.
